ATLANTA (Dec. 21, 2016) – Garden City Group, LLC℠ (GCG®), a leading provider of bankruptcy and restructuring administration solutions, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Meyerowitz to managing director of business development. Meyerowitz brings to this role more than 15 years’ experience in business development and bankruptcy and restructuring law.

Prior to joining Garden City Group, Meyerowitz spent eight years in business development leadership roles, most recently serving as the vice president of business development for legal technology firm Olofson Technology Partners, a start-up chapter 7 trustee software company where she managed the sales team and served as the liaison between clients and operations. Formerly, she was a vice president for Epiq Systems, with responsibility for development, legal counsel and consulting, compliance and logistics, and case management functions for the company’s bankruptcy and restructuring settlement services. Meyerowitz began her career as a practicing attorney at Alston & Bird LLP where, for nearly 10 years, she represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees and trustees in complex workouts, debt restructurings, commercial litigation, and chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

As managing director, Meyerowitz will oversee all restructuring business development efforts related to GCG’s bankruptcy and restructuring business to further solidify its position in the marketplace. She will be responsible for creating and executing the company’s long-term growth strategy as well as ensuring all restructuring business development activities afford GCG’s clients a thoughtful and seamless engagement experience, and access to GCG’s latest bankruptcy technology innovations.

“GCG is excited to welcome a business development professional of Jennifer’s caliber and expertise to our team,” said Angela Ferrante, GCG senior vice president, Operations. “Her appointment further demonstrates GCG’s commitment to our bankruptcy and restructuring portfolio and reinforces our ability to deliver cutting-edge technology and administrative solutions to our clients, both current and future.”

Meyerowitz earned her J.D. from Emory University and her B.A. from University of Michigan. She is an active participant in several industry organizations, serving as a former chair of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation; and a former chair and co-founder of its Georgia network. Meyerowitz is also involved in various other professional organizations and has served on the board or is on committees for the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, and the Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar, as well as other non-profit organizations in her community. She lives in Atlanta with her family.
